Which could describe everything from the presidential election to my gaming of late.
This week’s Retro is going to be just a short bunch of snippets since there isn’t much going on with me and gaming right now that is noteworthy.
I am back into gaming mode big time right now, I have started to collect full size arcade games again and with that in mind I am refinishing my most recent purchase, Rygar. The games is not in the original enclosure (also called a conversion) and there was some suspicious wiring inside and other home brew modifications that make the a little more of a project than when I started. I have been using a heat gun to remove the old stickers from the side of the cabinet and I think that I have used about 6 feet of sand paper trying to remove the paint. Oh yes, the paint, so expertly applied with a spray can as to make this cabinet look like a piece of art.
I hope to be done with the rebuild by next weekend since it is getting colder here in the arctic south eastern part of Wisconsin. When it gets cold like this, gamers typically will seek refuge in the comfort of their favorite games and settle in for a long winters gaming session. I am no different that way; I have been looking for that “new” game that is out there that I can settle into play when it gets dark here at four o’clock in the afternoon. So I have been talking to some of my other gamer friends and it looks like we will be firing up the gaming servers again this year.
So let’s settle in for a enjoyable fall, the leaves turning and the smell of cinnamon lingering in the air. Go and grab yourself a hot mug of cider and let get our game on!
