Ninja Blade Soundtrack Giveaway

This contest is CLOSED

March Music Madness marches on, this time to the action-packed tunes of Ninja Blade by famed games music composer Norihiko Hibino.

(Excerpt from earlier Norihiko Hibino GDN interview)

[GDN] In regards to the upcoming Ninja Blade, what is the musical approach that you are taking and what can we expect to hear?

Ninja Blade Original SoundtrackI’ve been asked this question a lot lately, and I always have a similar answer.  I’m really excited about this soundtrack.  We focused on the ninja through the perspective of Westerners.  I realized that they think of the ninja as a “martial arts heroes,” so I decided to emphasize the following elements:

  • Hollywood action style
  • Japanese traditional element
  • Sorrowful moment
  •  Some “craziness”

In my experience, Japanese people are pretty crazy despite their conservative nature and closed-mindedness at times.  I use the example of “Kamikaze” to explain the idea that when Japanese people get angry, they become insane (in Japanese we call this “buchigire”).  I think the Japanese people are aware of this craziness, and it encourages us to work very hard.
