Blue Dragon Plus is the DS Sequel to Blue Dragon released on the Xbox 360 console. We rejoin Shu and his friends on another journey to fight off evil forces that threaten the peace and security of the land. I am sure if you are a fan of the Xbox 360 game you will recognize some familiar faces.

In contrast to the Xbox 360 release, Blue Dragon Plus does most of the progression of the game for you. The game has an ongoing storyline, complete with lots of full-motion videos, and puts your characters into various battle scenarios that you must successfully complete in order to progress through the story. It’s up to you to successfully lead your party of characters to victory by commanding them effectively and utilising each of the character’s strengths and protecting against their weaknesses throughout each battle. You must also get to grips with each of their varying skill sets, in order to be successful especially in some of the game’s more difficult clashes. For example, some characters are geared more toward physical attack, whereas others excel in healing and the use of magic. It is up to you to figure out the best way to use your characters and in which combination within your party.

You command your characters in battle through the use of the DS touch screen and stylus. You can control each character separately or as a group, which ever is more efficient in directing them in each skirmish. All you need to do is point at the character or characters you want to use and then tap the stylus to the spot on the touch screen you want them to get to and hey presto off they trek. Through this interface you will be able to select a range of special skills that are available to each character that can be used in combat as well.
