Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009 Review (Wii)

Posted by Jason Royal38 Woodson, 279 days ago

In today’s world many of us, after working mostJillian Michaels of the day, want to come home and relax in front of the television, but the limitless shows/commercials on workouts/tone ups tend to make you want to look your best. This is where the respected trainer, Jillian Michaels comes into play for Wii owners. Jillian Michaels is well known from the popular show The Biggest Loser. With her help she will guide you on the right path to well being and a tight body. So grab your workout clothes, balance board, and line up for the boot camp awaiting you.

Only seven characters (4 female and 3 males) are to be chosen from. Let’s just say that they are in better shape than I can hope for. I remember when I first got the Wii Fit I stood on the balance board and watched my Mii plump up. I think that this would have been a good feature to start with, and then watch your character tone up as you process through the game. Choose a camp and proceed to the office where you manage your character and a fresh change of clothes (shirts, pants, and shoes). I take a deep hard look at myself and wonder what to start with intervals, strength training, or the almighty weight loss. How serious (difficult, and length of time) of a workout do you want? The ’game’ gets the sweat pouring via eleven different exercises (jogging, tire drills, log balancing, etc...) to go through in a set fashion, or have them shuffled. Watch the description of the exercise close because it will not be on the screen long. Jillian Michaels gives you the support of her voice, and technique (when unlocked) while exercising for a little added encouragement. Diet must accompany a good workout, and that’s included as well (when you unlock it). As with any good workout have a friend/love one join you in multiplayer. This way you both feel the split screen burn.

Are you looking for stunning graphics? Sorry my friend, you will not find them here. Just remember that you are here to get in shape, not stare in amazement. The graphics are barely decent, but do get the job done.

Our Rating for Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009 Review (Wii)
4.0
Replay
For those truly dedicated a replay is certain, but for the rest probably not.
4.0
Graphics
You will not be amazed, but the goal is to get into shape.
5.5
Sound
The sound is good, but you will tend to go through the playlists quickly. The voice of Jillian Michaels is a great touch.
5.0
Gameplay
With some of the exercises being nearly impossible to complete correctly it makes frustration a certain thought in mind, but it is well thought out and just needs to be polished.
5.0
Multiplayer
The only drawback to multiplayer is keeping the other player from bumping/smashing into you. There is no online play.
5.0
Overall
The lack of being able to complete the exercise correctly and slightly below average graphics makes me get it from the discounted rack and still it’s questionable
