Jim Cook’s WiiWare/VC Commentary #2

Posted by Jim Cook,

As always, a quick look at recent news:

Smash Service partially ending: Smash Bros. Brawl’s "Smash Service", where you could send in photos and stages and in turn receive some each day is being partially discontinued on June 30, 2009. You will no longer be able to submit content to it. You will receive new content for some time, but it will be from a pool of stuff accumulated before June 30. This is a little disappointing, but to be honest I haven’t touched Brawl in months other than to try the fan-made "Brawl+" modifications to it, which are quite interesting indeed.

What can I tell you about these? Not a whole lot. SimEarth could be interesting, I remember liking most of the Sim games of that era, but I have no direct experience with it. And convincing companies to provide review copies of Wii releases is a pain... which leads me to this week’s topic.
