Today we take a look at the second and third pieces of the Chaos update: the Age of Heroes and the Age of Battles.
Age of Heroes:
How much new content did this update bring with it?
The Age of Heroes was a key part of the Chaos update since it introduced the Gate to the Future, which leads to entirely new zones in the game for high level players. The Henesys Ruins and Dark Ereve provide hours of new gameplay since the areas include the Knight Stronghold and the Cygnus Expedition, which each have several new quests that pertain to the particular area. This update also brought major class rebalances for Aran, Evan, and Dual Blade characters as well as several limited time events to celebrate the beginning of Chaos.
How were the hero classes rebalanced and why?
The Evan, Aran, and Dual Blade classes were rebalanced to ensure that their power levels increased at a rate that was consistent with other classes. This means that various skills they obtain at different levels were either increased or decreased in power to smooth out their power curve. The Cygnus Knight classes and Resistance classes also received minor updates.
What happened with class relationships? Why was this realignment necessary?
With the introduction of PvP we needed to ensure better power balance between classes at the same level. These changes should also ensure that no matter which class you choose, you will see consistent and steady increases in power at each level.
How does it impact players?
High level Aran, Evan, and Dual Blade players may need to redistribute their skill points once the changes are made since some skills have been moved or changed significantly. However, these changes do not change the classes fundamentally so players strategy and tactics will not change much.
