| Our Rating for The House of the Dead Overkill Extended Cut Review (Playstation 3) | |
| 8.0 | Replay Sure I could go back and play through some more. It is one of those games that you get some friends over on occasion and have a flat out shooting fest. |
| 8.0 | Graphics The cut scene movements and lip sync are flat out terrible, some of the worst ever seen. The rest of the game is quite good graphically. |
| 8.5 | Sound The overbearing intentional vulgarity gets tiring after awhile because it’s so overused and so over the top even if you don’t mind it, it will grate on you. |
| 7.5 | Gameplay Some of the boss battles are seriously dumb. The rest of the game is decent. It’s what we all have come to expect from House of the Dead games and it does well with the PS Move and 3D though I preferred the normal 2D. |
| 6.0 | Multiplayer/Online Content There is two player through the story and four player in the mini-games. It could have been more but then again it could have been less. It is enjoyable to play with friends from time to time. |

Overall Overall the Extended cut of House of the Dead Overkill does add something from the original version of the game but it certainly doesn’t live up to its alleged HD cut scene claim as they look bland. Still, the gameplay is fun and, pardon the pun, it’s worth a shot. |

behind the origins of the House of the Dead. Survival horror as its never been seen before, The House of the Dead: OVERKILL is a pulp-style take on the best selling, classic SEGA light-gun shooter series.
