When it comes to fantasy board games, tactical miniatures, and pretty much all things tabletop related, I am the outcast at GDN. I was never into playing the games when I was younger, and now I live in a rural area where, even if I wanted to learn, no one plays. However, every now and then one of these tabletop games will get adapted into a PC game, and at that point, you can count me in. Confrontation, a tactical miniature RPG, released this week. Though we haven’t had the chance to play the full game, we were granted access to the first 2 levels.
Based on the tabletop game from Rackham, Confrontation sets you in the mythical, war-ridden land of Aarklash. Here you assemble a team of 4 Griffen warriors, and you traverse the landscape in search of a way to stop the Scorpions from destroying everything. Beyond that, there is not much story that I can divulge after 2 levels, but I can tell you about some gameplay mechanics.
