GDN World of Goo Contest

Posted by ,

What will you DO with your GOO?

Gamers Daily GooNews has 5, that’s FIVE, copies of World of Goo for you. All you’ve got to goo, er do, is to tell us what goo’ll, er you’ll do with your Goo. (more info on World of Goo)

It can be funny, dangerous, hell even slightly perverted if you want to...though there are certain lines of good taste that shouldn’t be crossed of course (13+ appropriate). We’ll sit down and wade through the gooiest nuggets of goo-dness to find ourselves some winners and slap some goo in their palms. Plus their Gooey plans will be published on GDN.

SO grab up your goo gun, get your goo cap on and start the old goo factory in your noggin working to tell us:

What will you DO with your GOO!

Your story plan for your goo must be at least 50 words and less than 500. Express yourself but don’t let the goo go to your head!

Standard contest rules apply. They’re here somewhere but I don’t want to reach down into the goo to find them. If you have questions about the rules email me and I’ll send them to you, free of goo.

Peeps who work for us, can’t win...so don’t try punks!

You’ve gotta be tall enough so that the Goo doesn’t touch your ears to enter (that’s probably 10+).

Your country can’t be under more than three meters of Goo for you to be eligible (that should just about allow everyone to enter I imagine).

Only one entry per person will be accepted so as not to goo up the process.

Take your contest entry and slap it in a goo ball, fire up that goo gun and email it to me crick [at] gamersdailynews [dot] com

All decisions of the judges (that’s us) are final. So no dripping goo from your nose about it.

By entering you promise we can use your name and story for promotional purposes blah blah blah...

GET TO THE GOO!

Oh yeah I almost forgot. The contest ends 28 October 2008 so that’s 2 weeks!

World of Goo is a physics based puzzle / construction game. The millions of Goo Balls that live in the beautiful World of Goo don’t know that they are in a game ... or that they are extremely delicious. Using your Wii Remote, you take control of these goo balls (many of which feature different abilities), pick them up and connect them together in order to construct jiggly architecture -- bridges, straightaways, makeshift high- rises, even -- so that you might lead other goo balls to an exit situated on one end of every stage.
