When you first get the headset and it’s sitting in their package, you get a sense that these things are big and going to be heavy. Once you get them on is another story.
The headset comes with a manual, soft carry bag, detachable microphone, and a power adapter. This was strange as I’ve had many headsets, but never one which had to plug into an AC outlet before.
The microphone has a flexible metal sheath, which makes it quite easy to swing or bend out of the way when not in use. The cord from the headset has a plastic coating around the wires. With eight speakers in the earpiece, the cord is thicker which will keep it from ever getting kinked. The connectors have audio support for front, center and rear audio as well as a subwoofer.
The inline audio controller on this set has more gadgets than most with the volume controls for subwoofer, center, front, surround as well as the main volume and the Mic mute button. The main volume wheel also will mute the headset if you push down on the wheel.
The headset themselves are made of a heavy duty plastic. The ear cups, which cover the whole ear, and the headband are made up of faux leather, yet are comfortable, I’ve worn them for over six hours with no discomfort. Adjusting the headset is easy, and they stay in place without slipping.
