David isn’t new to gaming, but he’s new to Gamers Daily News. As possibly our youngest contributor we figured he’d have some fresh perspective on what younger gamers might like for Christmas this year. Here’s what he came up with.
Persona 4 - Available at retailers everywhere
The sequel to the best MMO of 2007 was recently released on December 9th. It takes plus in the same fictional world as Persona 3, minus the guns used to summon your Persona (your demon alter-ego). The story, yet again, involves these mysterious shadows that attack people, including yourself. In the iteration of the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series, you summon your persona by shattering... cards.... The characters also where glasses for reasons I don’t want to say (no spoilers here). This time around the moon phases of the last game have been replaced with a weather system, with story events taking place on misty days. The story focuses on mysterious murders that take place at midnight and a mysterious Midnight Channel, that, you guessed it, only appears at midnight. The game is $50 and is available at major retailers everywhere. It comes with the soundtrack, and, if you’re lucky, with an artbook detailing the artwork that went towards making the much awaited sequel.
