There are three
game modes to choose from. One Player is just that, where you need to get a certain score before the round ends. Get the score, and move on to the next round with different weather, and terrain. Versus mode is where you and a friend battle it out in three rounds to get the best score. Hunting Party is where two to four players compete again for top score. There is a twist to it, because each player will have to take turns (unlike Versus mode) for three rounds. Trick Attack becomes your partner in achieving victory. It gives the other players a surprise in the next round (third round just points for your final score). What are the surprises you ask? Shoot the bulls-eye to acquire In Your Face (a face of an animal will appear in the center of the screen to block the view), Cloaking (things become hard to see), Speed (animals move at unusual speeds), Shake (time to look at things upside down), and Handswap (controls get switched). There is no online play for this title sadly.
The controls are very basic and easy to understand. Using the Wii Zapper made things a little easier but was not required. With the regular controller it seemed a little uneasy in hand, but with the zapper all buttons seemed to flow well and were easy to get to. The audio portion is not exactly mind blowing, but gets the job done pretty well. Graphics are above average, but a little extra time could have been used to polish it up a little.
So if you’re tired of having to wait for the next deer to come, your wait has ended. With this shooting gallery style game its instant shooting with a favorable twist.
