Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009 Review (Wii)

Posted by Jason Royal38 Woodson, 198 days ago

Would you want to workout and hear dead silence? I wouldn’t, and Jillian Michaels doesn’t either so they composed four different listening groups to choose from. Alternative, dance, country, and contemporary rock. Listen to your favorite or shuffle if you like them all. The sounds and voices of Jillian Michaels are good, and are easy to listen to.

As mentioned before, multiplayer is an option. There is a catch with this one. The balance board is useless in multiplayer and won’t be needed. Also split screen is enabled and the only view allowed. There is no online action, but would have been a nice addition.

The gameplay and controls could have a used a little more finesse to be honest. Most of the exercises are simple in motion and idea, but using the remote and nunchuk on the other hand to execute the exercise correctly is another thing. A diagram/picture will appear to show you how it is suppose to be done, but doing it becomes a challenge. Sometimes the only true exercise I felt like doing was to throw the remote through the television. The game certainly gave me a fit but I don’t think it’s made me fit.

Our Rating for Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009 Review (Wii)
4.0
Replay
For those truly dedicated a replay is certain, but for the rest probably not.
4.0
Graphics
You will not be amazed, but the goal is to get into shape.
5.5
Sound
The sound is good, but you will tend to go through the playlists quickly. The voice of Jillian Michaels is a great touch.
5.0
Gameplay
With some of the exercises being nearly impossible to complete correctly it makes frustration a certain thought in mind, but it is well thought out and just needs to be polished.
5.0
Multiplayer
The only drawback to multiplayer is keeping the other player from bumping/smashing into you. There is no online play.
5.0
Overall
The lack of being able to complete the exercise correctly and slightly below average graphics makes me get it from the discounted rack and still it’s questionable
