Jim Cook’s XBLA Commentary #10

Posted by Jim Cook, 154 days ago

MadBalls in Babo: Invasion is in development by Playbrains, and is a very unusual take on various ’rolling marble’ games. Like most of them, a major part of MadBalls is moving characters that don’t walk so much as roll around... but with a twist: They have access to lots of guns and power-ups, and fight it out in a variety of modes. Online co-op, deathmatch, capture the flag, a singleplayer campaign, and even the ability to mix maps together to make your own stage are all included, with support for up to 16 players in some modes.

We have also provided some screenshots and videos, which we offer here. Definitely check out the video; it’s what got me so interested in MadBalls.

Check out more screens.

Exact details are a little sketchy, but it seems they plan to release sometime in July and I’m looking forward to it! I wasn’t able to find a price point at time of writing, but I imagine that information will be along soon if they’re releasing next month.

A lot of people have been signing back onto Castle Crashers due to the patch, myself included. I decided to get all of the Animal Orbs and weapons recently. I hear there’s going to be new DLC for it coming out soon, but I’m not 100% sure, as the Behemoth is working on "Game #3".
