One of the highlights in this game is that you have the freedom to go anywhere and kill anything that moves, but this does come at a price.  It will give you an over view at the beginning but then it’s up to you to make it there.  If you come off trail expect to be there a while as you figure out the right way to go.  Pull out your weapon and shoot when PSI guys come for you, but hope you brought extra ammo.  The AI’s take a lot of hits to go down, and your partners don’t do much but get in your way.  You will be shooting when all of a sudden your partner will get shoot down and you have to go and save them, or they will get right in your sights.  This is not the only reason it takes so many shots to put down the enemy.  The reticle is imprecise, and on top of that the enemy will a lot of the times just stand there and let you shoot them.  Let’s not forget sometimes half way thru a stage a loading screen will pop up.  Really, what’s that about?  There are buildings to climb and vehicles for you to enjoy such as the motorcycle to get across the landscape.  You and your passenger can ride and shoot upcoming enemies.  So you forgot to let your passenger on?  Don’t worry, they will teleport on a few seconds later.  You can play this game by yourself, split-screen, or co-op team.  Multiplayer is also an option, but the map stays the same size, even with one person.

Here’s the section on graphics and sound with a touch of the controls.  When it comes to graphics I must admit it’s not the best on the market.  There are several things that could of had a little extra help with were the jagged edges, famerate sputters, and textures.  For example the people tend to lean on the blocky side, scenery doesn’t appeal when the main character hangs lifeless from a non moving rope just to name a few.   The sound doesn’t do much better when the characters seem lifeless, or the motor sounds of the motorcycle stop in midair.  The controls are very hard to be fluid, but the button to release from the rope was nice.  This game had a very good story line, but failed to give it the attention it so needed.

Our Rating for Damnation Review (Xbox 360)
3.0
Replay
With so much lacking I must say a replay is not in order.
4.5
Graphics
Break out the can it’s needing a lot of polish.
4.5
Sound
The best I can say is the slightly below average sounds will make it points.
5.0
Gameplay
Non-Fluid controls and wasted ammo make it a long night with a good story line.
5.0
Multiplayer
Multiplayer and online play is a option but it fails to draw you into it.
5.0
Overall
Seeing is believing, and believing is playing, and playing is renting on this game.
