With money, comes luxuries.
But before you can get the luxuries, you’re gonna have to decided who gets a cut of your hard earned money: how much will your family, friends, charity, and girlfriend get from you? After that comes the fun part, splurging! You can “invest” your money in things such as cars, or you can invest it in things to help you increase your stats, such as you basic swimming pool, weights bench, treadmill, etc. So not only does your money make your guy look good (and be worth more), but a good investment will actually increase your character’s stats.
Of course, with so much detail payed towards making a realistic experience, some of you may be wondering about that
statement made earlier, about this game not having licensed teams. Yes, it doesn’t, but it has the teams you know and love still in there. How? By adding slight changes to the names of the teams and the players. A fitting example would be my favourite team, Manchester United, in the game they are known as Menchester United. A subtle change that keeps the developer from getting sued, but lets the player locate their favourite team(s). Even the stadiums have subtle changes in the name (Old Trefford anyone?), and so do all the leagues and championships.
Lastly, the game controls fairly decent on a keyboard. Not perfectly, but enough to let you score fairly decent goals. The game has controller support, which is rare for an indie title, then again, this game is a rarity in itself, It does take some time getting used to the controls, and the game never tells the controls straight-out, instead, you have to find them in the options menu, but in the end, it doesn’t stop New Star Soccer 2010 from being one of the best, and deepest, indie games out there.
