Now lets get into the the thing we went to see, the games.
NCAA Football 09 (Wii, PS 3, PS 2, PSP, Xbox 360)
Though personally I have already seen this game and need to post the review, I still gotta say it was still good to see it again. The game in itself has been brought up to a new level, including stringing moves together, Quarterback Quiz (a way to figure out what play the defense used when you threw that pick. Depending on how you pick, will determine how much your QB’s confidence is shaken. The Campus Legend mode, and Coach’s mode have had much upgraded also. The graphics great, the crowd and sideline happenings are a bit more realistic this year and makes it almost feel like you are really there on campus. I’ll leave it to that till I post the review up in the next week.
NBA Live 09 ( PS 3, X360)
This game was mentioned during the press conference, and a had a bit of excitement about this game especially the talk
about the Dynamic DNA that was mentioned, though I was a bit concerned after seeing the last few years version, whether the hype was going to be there. I actually spent about an hour hands on with this game though it was only an exhibiton game and could only see the a rerun of the NBA Finals. (Lakers vs. Celtics) Unfortunately I can’t remember who it was I spent time with, but he really showed me the potential of the Dynamic DNA component. To break it down, they are going to take all the stats of the live players during the season and download it into the game. So if Kobe is on a cold streak Live, you might want to keep him on the bench in game as he’s going to have the same tendancies. They are going so in-depth that the player’s tendencies of his drives (right or left) team tendancies,(what plays in what situations) in percentages. The graphics were great, movement of players and ball were smooth. One of the other things that was pointed out to me is that the people on courtside and stands are a bit more independent and seem a bit more individualized.
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09 (PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, X360)
Unfortuately I wasn’t able to get my hands on TW09. Though this game has always been pretty solid franchise, I can only imagine what they have upgraded. Since all the other franchises have had some sort of overhaul, Im sure its only going to improve it. What I was able to see graphically, honestly I didn’t see a huge difference from last years version, but until I get my grubby hands on it, thats all I can really say about it.
