NBA Online Multiplayer
I was not at all confident that I was going to do well online, but in order to check the gameplay I did test it. It plays much the same way and there are far better players out there that, while perhaps in the same rank as you, have played the previous versions and are far better. I am not ashamed nor afraid to admit it.
While NBA 2K12 is a good game, there are lots of things that could have been done to make it better, far better. There are so many unknowns that you have to sit and figure out and figure out and figure out. There’s no tutorial and I didn’t find many of the training drills to be all that useful in learning the controls.

Speaking of flaws, what’s with all the players looking like really creepy zombies? No facial expressions, mouths hanging half open and all of them moving their arms like robots. On top of that, a lot of the time it doesn’t even look like the players are touching the ball, like there’s some invisible force field around it. The sad thing is that some of the animations are really quite good but then there are those stone faces and creepy skin.
I’m sure though, that if you’re a fan of basketball and 2K’s specific version you’ll still like this. Even if you haven’t played an NBA 2K game but are an NBA fan you’ll most likely find this entertaining, though perhaps still lacking in many areas. The poor character models were, to me, the most shockingly bad thing about the game. Steve Nash, while creepy in real life, was massively creepy in the game. I almost think one of the developers has a vendetta against him.
