Subscription Model:
Steve told us that 80% of the world is free-to-play and the other 20% are clearly marked out as being pay areas through large environmental features. The example was an area that had a large fence and gate around it.
There will also be a wallet system where parents or players will be able to put a certain amount of money into the wallet and the player can then use it as they want.
Community:
There is also a sense of community being built. Even though the children can’t chat with others they can create a friends list which requires parental approval. So for example my child (purely theoretical here) is playing and has a friend from school that plays I can check to see who it is and make sure by contacting their parents etc. before I approve the friend connection and allow them to play together, chat and create a party to go adventuring. That way as a parent I always know who my child is playing with in the game.
Jobs and Classes:
The game is totally cool in that you no longer need to choose a class you can simply switch clothes to take on a different job. So if you need a medic in your party you can switch into a medic suit and you have healing parties. If you want to be a Ninja you can again switch clothes. Examples include Treasure Hunter, Explorer, Wizards (young and old), ninja, medic, mailman and maybe even a clown suit or a hot dog.
Missions:
Various types of missions are available some will have time limits and some not. All should be able to be completed in solo play but might be better with friends. Depending on, as a parent, whether or not you allow your child to play with others. With that in mind then that must mean that all missions can be run solo for those who aren’t allowed to join parties but are allowed to play.
