[GDN]
What mobile games available through the service are most popular at present?
[Sven]
That varies on almost weekly basis so hard to give any general answer to that. See eg the ELSPA top charts. Typically household brands are popular, like those from TV shows, but also big console titles. Clear distinction between male (sports, action, racing) vs female (puzzle, quizz, ‘casual’).
[GDN]
Do you play mobile games? What games are you playing and what are you looking forward to?
[Sven]
Yes! I particularly look forward to more casual games on tough screen handsets. I think that can be really fun and easily accessible for a larger audience. ‘More Wii than PC’ compared to the evolution the traditional gaming world has gone thru.
BONUS QUESTION!!
[GDN] Where do you see the future of mobile gaming going?
[Sven] Technically we will see a development in screens and internet connections making browsing and gaming much more mainstream. Another aspect that we will see is more community aspects as well as advertising into the games. For the industry to be more successful we will see more effective retailing, making it easier for consumers to find and buy games as well as cater to the various audiences out there (pre-paid, post-paid).
