First to fight for right and freedom

Other things in the game that are new are better physics and increased particle effects. Fire is introduced in the game as a weapon. You can have a flamethrower and everything in the environment can be set ablaze. We actually saw a swath of grass lit up which prompted the soldiers hiding in it to catch on fire, jump up and get picked off. The flamethrower also lit up the tree where the sniper was and well, he was basically just toast as one might imagine. Another thing they talked about but we weren’t able to see is the flame tank which you can imagine would be rather devastating to the opponent.

The second campaign that is interwoven into the story this time round is a Russian campaign but both storylines are motivated by revenge and that is also what ties the two stories together. The Russian front retaliation was in response to the Germans killing millions of people. It was brutal and personal and revenge motivated.

And to keep our honor clean;

Speaking of storylines, the main characters will be voices you surely recognize as Kiefer Sutherland plays Sgt. Roebuck while Gary Oldman plays the Russian main character.

Co-op is new to the franchise as well with up to four-players online, or two-player local split-screen, allowing gamers to experience harrowing single-player missions together for greater camaraderie and tactical execution. The title also incorporates traditional multiplayer components such as challenges, rankings and online stats into the co-op campaign for deeper re-playability and advanced gameplay..

I have to say I was more than a little upset when I heard Call of Duty 5 was going back into WWII, but I am impressed with all the gameplay tweaks they are putting into the game. Hopefully it will be able to pay off, and at least it is at least the least saturated setting in WWII.
