But the other things they did tell me about I’m more than happy to report back to you. The first of which is Epoch Wars. This title is taking a lot of the monotonous stuff out of strategy games and distilling it down to the action.
The title is set to be a simple but challenging action game that will require you to use both sound tactics and complex strategy as armies of wild toon characters battle it out in a unique game world. They call it a macro RTS game as you won’t be clicking to build or gather resources in this title. From the get go Epoch Wars is about action and is set to gather up casual gamers who have a leaning toward strategy. It’s a squad-based game with a lord and soldiers and each game should be around 5-10 minutes. Epoch Wars is set to use 6 buttons and 2 sticks for control and have towers to capture for power based on an element (fire – water – earth) scheme.
But from what I saw I know some other gamers who wouldn’t consider themselves casual that would be interested in this title. The game’s graphics are cool and the idea is in itself innovation. An RTS without all that fumbling about to gather and build stuff up but that still requires hours or even years to perfect your strategy. Genius no?!
When can you expect to see this gem of a game? Well no one really knows just yet. Seed is still trying to figure out all those logistic, publishing and distributing facets but I have faith that we will hear from them soon on this.
