The other title they told me about was Blue Shift. It’s set to first be a print property, novel, that will then expand into gaming and other areas. It features super-human powers and abilities in the future. In the world of 2064 the future isn’t what it used to be. The Great collapse of 2030 has devastated the world in ways man could never imagine, for many it seemed as if the planet itself was making a concerted effort to eliminate its most troublesome species: Man.
The concept is still under development but they are loosely setting sights on Q2 ’09 for the web comics and Q3 ’09 for the next stage, man I wish I had managed one of those posters while I was visiting with Project Manager David Cheng and Steve Porter the CEO. Hey guys, send me a poster for Blue Shift when you read this! Yes, I know I’m a seriously informal games journalist, but at least it’s interesting to read.
So going back to the title of this article, I think it’s now plain for you to see that Seed Studio is definitely growing innovation. They have wide spectrum and aggressive marketing plans for their new properties as well as innovative and interesting takes on traditional gaming genres. Next year when you pick up that game and see the Seed Studio logo on the box, remember this article.
Thanks to David Cheng and Steve Porter for taking the time to have an impromptu meeting with me at Leipzig. I look forward to hearing more news from Seed in the near future and I’ll keep an eye out for that poster in the mail…
