Units 3, 5 and 1 Create Group
If you put infantry troops together with vehicles the infantry will climb into the units when there is room instead of just zombie-like running to where you told them to go. The troops have some fair amount of intelligence and will even take cover and react to the environment.
We saw a good number of units in the demo including infantry, tanks, support helicopters, command vehicles, mobilized artillery and more.
Giving commands is as simple as saying something like the headers in this article. "All Artillery Create group," "Control Group 1 attack hostile 4."
Unit 2 Retreat
You can order troops to retreat which is important because you actually level them up as you go through the game. With around 100 upgrades (7 unit types light inf, heavy inf, transport (and anti-air), gunships, tanks, command vehicles and air units with about 15 upgrades each) for each of 3 factions you have a fair amount of customization and each type of unit has different abilities or skills that can be implemented to give them an edge in combat.
No longer will you have 4 types of troops that are melee troops. Now you have one base unit and as you equip them and level them up you can give them other abilities like sniper rifles, grenades and other weapons and tech.
