End War, End Game
Michael wasn’t about to tell me that there would be downloadable content (DLC) missions add-ons but he sure had the grin of one that knows. As the game will only spread across the eastern part of the United States, all of Europe and parts of Russia it makes sense that DLC, expansions or future titles will take the war all the way from sea to shining sea.
He also talked about the online portion of Tom Clancy’s End War. It’s like a million player version of Risk where each day all the battles are tallied up and the front line will move depending on who won the most battles where. At the end of every month or so they will reset the war but you will get to keep all your gear and armies and such. Each monthly campaign will have different objectives making each month’s online campaign different.
Changing sides is possible but you will lose a large amount of your gear and such. They wanted to allow it but they didn’t want people switching daily or even weekly .It just makes sense that you would lose most of the gear and upgrades since you wouldn’t have access to them anymore.
I found myself gasping, laughing and cringing at times during this demo just because I was so involved in what was happening and I wasn’t even playing. It’s not a photo-realistic graphics set but it’s certainly engrossing. Just sitting and watching Michael play made me want to get the game and play. The best moment was when the enemy launched the WMD and Michael said "I wonder wherer that will (BOOM - area destroyed on screen) oh, there it is."
Co-op play is also available where you can split your forces and each (of 2) player takes control of 6 units and can go up against one or two computer players or other players.
