Many of the specifics of the Champions universe are in the game including Nar Cola, Millennium City and many of the character and villains. But if you have never played the pen and paper version of the game it will still be completely accessible to you so don’t fear. NOTE: The Nar Cola does have a use at times…
The levels are designed to encourage exploration and hidden items are placed throughout levels from what we’re told.
The cut scenes that show up are actually made in-engine and help to drive the plot forward. The really cool thing about them is that they use speech bubbles! So if you were to snap a screen shot, it would look like an actual page from a comic book.
When you have a specific skill it gives you access to specific actions. For example if you have some sort of scientific skill you can hack into computer panels and such.
Missions will be rated on level that would be required to finish it realistically. While you can play through level 1 to 50 solo you don’t have to and even if you’re at a higher level than the mission you might not be able to successfully finish it. So then you get into a group. Groups will be limited to 5 people however meta-groups can be created allowing multiple groups to work together.
