Yes, over 100,000 guns…here’s how
The guns are procedurally generated from multiple manufacturers in the game who make specific types of guns. Of course there are some clues to what extras the guns have like red for heat, green for acid, blue for electricity, etc. I imagine that the game has hundreds of pieces of guns and it randomly assembles them and assigns them special features and that is how they are making 100,000 weapons in the game. Additionally they have loads of different types of grenades as well including multi-explosive grenades that split up and then explode.
Single or Multi…it’s still your character
The two-player co-op obviously needs a lot of communication. You can’t just breeze through the game and do the same thing over and over for the simple fact that the enemies are also procedurally generated and are not the same every time you run through a level or map.
The characters are persistent. So you can take your character and enter into a game with someone else and gain experience and equipment. So you don’t have to level up a single player character and then another for multi-player. It’s the same character at all times.
