Righteous Kill is pretty much a game made for the help of promoting the film and in that respect it does its job well enough. As a game in its own right, taking the movie out of the equation, it’s adequate, but in some way is lacking. The price of it is about $20 (£10-12) and I can see why. There’s not enough here to make you feel happier to pay more, but then I’ve also seen software command a similar price tag and not offer anything worthwhile too.
There’s a half decent thinker in here, but only if you play it correctly. If you’re an impatient sleuth who has to fast forward to see who did it in CSI, look elsewhere, but anyone who is willing to use it properly will find enough to help them wile away an afternoon or two. Just turn the music off before you do. Although maybe that’s a blessing because if you really want to be Mr. or Mrs. Crime Scene Investigation you can always chuck The Who CD in and play the music from the show as you play… (I wonder how many people will actually do that.
