SSX: Deadly Descents

The game is allegedly going to have a more Skate-like control system with the right stick being used to do tricks and the left used to steer.
"riders have to descend through the death zone at breakneck speeds to keep from blacking out," to the solid ice ranges of Antarctica, where "a sunlit line is the only survival option when temperatures drop 50 degrees centigrade in the shade.
It also seems they’re taking a more daring, extreme look at the sport, if the rumors are to be believed.
In an EA survey, a snowboarding game was descrbed as "an intense, moment-to-moment battle against the forces created from riding your snowboard over the most spectacular and remote mountains on Earth."
Gameplay elementes include "avoiding, out-running and even riding on top of massive avalanches; battling hurricane winds; white-outs; bitter cold; falling rocks; and gaping crevasses that open up at a moment’s notice," as well as "take part in helicopter drops and rescues, base-jumping, wingsuit/squirrel-suit flying, skyboarding, para-skiing, ice-climbing and more."
Whether or not this will be an SSX game or if these elements are for the upcoming SSX, remains to be seen along with the graphics style and any sort of release. Though if it’s been in the works for two years, it might be ready in 2011.
