HQ Inc. and JAKKS Pacific, Inc. today announced the availability of new content for WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009, the latest release for the leading fighting videogame franchise.  Now available for download via Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360, as well as the PlayStation Network for the PLAYSTATION 3, the content allows players to update their WWE gameplay experience with new playable Superstars.  WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 originally launched on November 9, 2008 and is available at retailers worldwide.

The content package, which takes a trip down WWE memory lane, features playable Superstars Bushwacker Butch, Bushwacker Luke (IT IS THE BUSHWACKERS!), Doink the Clown, Earthquake and Vader.  Xbox LIVE Marketplace users are able to purchase the content for 400 Microsoft Points, while PlayStation Network users can enjoy these new Superstars for a suggested retail price of $4.99.

“We are pleased to deliver a new downloadable content package for WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009,” said Cory Ledesma, senior creative manager, THQ.  “The addition of new playable Superstars to our roster is one of our most frequent requests from fans worldwide, and we are excited to expand the gameplay experience with talent from key moments in WWE history.”
