Updated: Warner Bros. is Proud Owner of Midway Games

We just received word that a Delaware Bankruptcy court judge has approved the sale of Midway to Warner Bros. today.

We are gathering the details and will bring them to you as soon as we can.

Update: The purchase price for Midway will be around $33 million, which was originally offered back in May As part of the deal, Warner Bros. will pick up the development studios in both Seattle and Chicago.

Other assets to be obtained is the Mortal Kombat franchise, Scribblenauts, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and a game based on the book, "Where the Wild Things Are".
