Lousiana Govenor Bobby Jindel has signed SB 277 into law this week, which gives tax breaks to companies involved with development of digital media. The bill states lists video or interactive games companies under this bill.
The bill, which was sponsored by 9 state Senators and 13 Representatives will give companies 25 percent credit on expenses and 10 percent credit for in-state payroll tax. These incentives have been available for application since July 1, 2009.
