SouthPeak Games has announced that the multiplayer first person shooter Section 8 will be playable during this year’s Multiplay M Festival – which incorporates the world famous i-Series event. Taking place between August 7 and 9, this is the first time the epic multiplayer FPS has been publically playable in Europe.

For the duration of M Festival, FPS fans can finally go hands-on with the PC and the Xbox versions of the game. What’s more, the European beta of Section 8 will be exclusively available for download - a full three days before open beta launch - so gamers can take their frag-fests home with them. Finally, anyone who fancies themselves as a sharp shooter should come along to SouthPeak Games’ booth to take part in a range of challenges and tournaments to win some awesome prizes.

Available for Xbox 360 and PC this September, Section 8 is a large-scale, sci-fi first person shooter where fast-paced action meets military strategy in the far reaches of the galaxy. Join the epic battle between the 8th Armoured Infantry and the Arm of Orion by taking part in fierce squad-based combat across majestic alien worlds.

Choose the experience you want to play by customising your own equipment Loadouts, and dynamically manipulate the flow of combat with on-demand vehicle requisitions, strategic asset deliveries and Dynamic Combat Missions.
