Online gaming prowess can take you far – to Korea, in fact. The modern warfare, Unreal Engine 3-powered Alliance of Valiant Arms (A.V.A) kicks off its first tournament this week with a bang, on the hardcore online gaming portal ijji.com. The nine million-strong site is offering an all-expense paid trip to Korea for the number one North American clan to frag it up against top international counterparts. Avid shooters, clear your calendars from now until Nov. 8, 2009 because qualifying rounds will take place, and only the top 32 clans will proceed into the first round of the tournament. Once invited to join the tournament, clan-mates should prepare themselves for intense twitch-based, fast multi-player online first-person shooting (MOFPS) action, from which only the very best will ascend.

“A.V.A offers gamers something profoundly different from other online games on the market: A beautifully constructed game, with more thrills, more action and more maps for less money – actually, for free!” said Philip Yun, CEO, NHN USA, which hosts ijji.com. “We never tire of giving back to the ijji.com community, and what better way than rewarding them with a once in a lifetime opportunity to fly to Korea to throw down with some of the best A.V.A players in the world.”

The supreme battles of Alliance of Valiant Arms will test the strength and ability of clans across North America, as they take chances in tank escort missions on the eerily demolished streets of modern Europe. On Nov. 15, 2009, the penultimate stage of the tournament will see two clans go head to head, in a merciless scrap to determine who truly has what it takes to represent all of North America as the Alliance of Valiant Arms victor. With a crisp, engrossing European backdrop to the rugged, heart-pounding combat, Alliance of Valiant Arms offers gamers the thrill of being a part of the next World War.

Dutiful soldiers that think they can battle the most elite competitors can begin their quest for A.V.A glory at http://ava.ijji.com.
