NyxQuest Wins Best Euro Game at the Dutch Game Awards
NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits, published by Madrid-based indie developers "Over the Top Games", wins the Best Euro Game category at the Dutch Game Awards.
The Dutch Game Awards are an acknowledgment of the creativity, expertise and business achievements of young Game Developers. This award represents a very important step for "Over the Top Games".
NyxQuest is the first game by this company. Without big resources, but a lot of passion four friends that form the studio managed to develop a game that provides a unique and original gameplay experience for WiiWare players. NyxQuest plunges its players into the fantastic epicentre of the beautiful story of Nyx and Icarus. Using the Wii Remote, the player is able to help their character with several divine powers to move obstacles, control the winds and shoot rays at the screen. The game has been available since June through WiiWare, the the Wii online store.
Earlier in the evening, several trophies were handed out at the Dutch Game Awards to games like Killzone 2 and Swords and Soldiers. Recognized game developer Peter Molyneux was an honorary guest at the ceremony and handed out some of the awards.
