Super Hero Squad Online at PAX
Gazillion Entertainment, a leading developer, publisher and operator of massively multiplayer online (MMO) games for all ages, today revealed that the action-packed Super Hero Squad Online will be showcased at the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) in the Gazillion Entertainment booth #3433. Play the mighty Thor, the alluring Elektra or the cosmic Silver Surfer, in addition to nearly half a dozen new Super Heroes while you explore Super Hero City and battle infamous Marvel Super Villains. For the first time players will also be able to sign up for the exclusive beta coming this fall.
Debuting at PAX will be Super Hero Squad Online’s new collectible card player versus player (PvP) system. As one of the key pillars of this online browser based game, players will be able to build their own personalized decks with iconic Marvel Super Heroes and powers, pit them against friends in the game world, and gain experience and rewards to utilize in game. Additionally, players will be able to earn more cards by completing quests and mini-games or purchasing limited-edition cards online. Choose from hundreds of different cards, create the ultimate deck and defeat any and all challengers.
To celebrate the announcement of Super Hero Squad Online’s Collectible Card Battle system, the company will be sponsoring a Super Hero Squad Online card game tournament based at the Gazillion booth. Tournament contestants will be able to win one of three prize packages from Alienware.
“Having a collectible card game as the PvP element is a great way for Marvel fans of all ages to enjoy PvP in Super Hero Squad Online,” said Jason Robar, Vice President and Studio Manager for The Amazing Society. “Players will be able to collect unique cards, build their decks and compete for rewards and trophies. With dozens upon dozens of characters, numerous trophies and items, and now combat trading cards for PvP play; Super Hero Squad Online is all about building, battling, and playing with your collection.”
Penny Arcade Expo highlights include:
- Be your favorite Super Hero and get hands-on time with the first Marvel massive online browser based game for all ages.
- Sign up for the exclusive beta at the Gazillion Entertainment Booth # 3433.
- Collectible card game (CCG) enthusiasts will be able to play in a live Super Hero Squad tournament located in the Tabletop Area of the Conference Center as well as in the Gazillion booth.
- Compete in the Super Hero Squad CCG Tournament to win an Amazing Prize Package from Alienware!
