Posted by Wade "TNT" Hinkle, 188 days ago May 22, 2008 14:56

Nyko Technologies, the premier gaming peripherals manufacturer, today announced that the Energy Pak for the Nintendo Wii Balance Board (packaged with the hit title Wii Fit) has shipped to stores nationwide. Wii athletes can now exercise without battery interruptions by installing an Energy Pak. Charge and play unhindered for the life of the battery, or plug and play while charging for an endless energy supply.

Key features of the Energy Pak for Wii Balance Board include:
- Rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack eliminates the need for wasteful and expensive disposable batteries
- Up to 20 hours of play time per charge, or leave it plugged in for unlimited energy
- Conveniently installs on the underside of the Balance Board, with easy access to detachable AC plug for quick and efficient charges without flipping the board
- LED charge / battery indicator
- Supports all games that require the Balance Board

“Nyko has led the way for innovative and convenient charging solutions across all current-generation platforms”, said Chris Arbogast, Director of Marketing at Nyko Technologies. “It is a natural direction for Nyko to offer a rechargeable battery solution for the Wii Balance Board in a fashion that allows the user to recharge and play simultaneously.”

Nyko’s Energy Pak for the Wii Balance Board is expected to ship to stores on May 22nd for the suggested retail price of $19.99. Please visit www.nyko.com for more information.
