Gangs of BoomTown, Spaghetti Western Social Game, Launches Exclusively on Google+

Digital Chocolate announced the launch of Gangs of Boomtown on Google+. Gangs of Boomtown, an engaging Western-themed game of vengeance was selected by Google on the basis of its high quality gameplay and graphics, combined with its compelling storyline.

Gangs of Boomtown is a new social-game take on the Spaghetti Western theme. Boomtown was an idyllic and peaceful settlement on the edge of the frontier – until the ruthless Assassins Gang rode into town and wreaked havoc. Now it’s up to the player to devise a revenge strategy to hunt down the perpetrators.

This is Digital Chocolate’s third game release on Google+. What makes this launch special is that Gangs of Boomtown achieves interoperability, using proprietary tools that help bring games to Google+ and other mobile platforms in a timely and efficient manner. More games are on the way, and there are plans for Gangs of Boomtown - along with earlier launches such as Zombie Lane – to be introduced as Android games.

Created specifically to take full advantage of the social features on the Google+ platform, players can gift items and share loot with friends, and visit friends’ towns to help in the fight. Other Google+ advantages to game developers include an existing base of billing relationships and mobile reach and distribution. Digital Chocolate will be implementing a steady wave of enhancements and new content to the game in the coming weeks.
