SOCOM: Confrontation Beta Delayed

Sony Entertainment have brought disappointing news today for PS3 owners awaiting the BETA for the forthcoming epic tactical shoot-em-up, SOCOM Confrontation.

Contrary to original plans, the BETA will not be available today but rather on Friday 5th September, this is apparently due to SCEA wanting to perfect the BETA and "bump up the experience" ensuring you get a full feel of the game in all of its limited glory.

The download is available once you have pre-ordered the new SOCOM title, scheduled for release in October this year, or by subscribing to Sony’s Qore program.

How much ’perfecting’ are they going to do in like 3 days? I think there is some other motive behind this. They wouldn’t be doing some major patch to it a few days before release would they? I wonder if they found a massive flaw that they want to fix...

Yeah, they must have found like some massive glitch or they were having some networking issues. Also, you want the beta to be good, but it doesn’t have to be perfect...if it was then it would already be on retail.
