Ni hao, wo pengyou!

The recently released free-to-play MMORPG, World of Kung Fu, has been growing in popularity quite rapidly, and in response VestGame Entertainment is set to open a new East Coast server in the US.

The main purpose of the new server is to enhance the game speed and access time that’s been dogging players who are further removed from the existing JadeDragon and GoldenSerpent servers located in the MidWest. Dubbed IronMonkey, the new server is due to go online on October 14th, and will also allow the game devs to add a few extra functions to the game. Primarily, this will include an ’invasion’ option - allowing online martial artists to perform country-to-country assaults as well as defending against outside countries invading the Middle Kingdom.

To celebrate the launch of the new server, there’s also talk of a ’special competition’ with a ’very special surprise’, though details don’t currently go much beyond that cryptic bit of info. Stay tuned for further Kung Fu news right here on GDN.
