This week at LEGOLAND Windsor, Nicole Appleton unveiled the new Xbox 360 Gaming Zone in the heart of LEGO City, where kids, mums and dads of all ages can play games including the hugely popular LEGO series of video games. Gamers of all ages and skill levels now have a dedicated area in the park to explore new worlds and personify favourite characters such as LEGO Batman while putting their console skills to the test.

The Xbox 360 Gaming Zone was created in conjunction with TT Games, developers of the family-friendly LEGO videogames. It has 17 high definition, flat-screen TV’s showing a variety of top-rated, family video games packed with action and adventure including LEGO Batman, the latest LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Indiana Jones titles.

Gamers can also compete in a variety of zany battles and races in Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise, assume the roles of Shrek or Puss in Boots in Shrek The Third, embark on a fantastical adventure in The Golden Compass or defend themselves against the Dark Arts by playing Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix.

Hans Aksel Pedersen, senior sales & marketing director at LEGOLAND Windsor comments: “At LEGOLAND, we believe that the child is the hero and is always at the centre of the action. Our partnership with Xbox is a perfect illustration of this and has enabled us to create an amazing new area where we can add to our guests’ experience and provide even more high quality entertainment for all the family.”

Neil Thompson, senior director entertainment division at Microsoft Limited comments: “I’m thrilled to see families enjoying entertainment and games together in this wonderful setting at LEGOLAND. As a parent myself, I understand the need for strong social experiences that can be shared by parents and children where all involved feel that those experiences are both fun and safe. Helping parents protect their children in the digital entertainment world we all live in is important to me as a parent and Microsoft as a company.”
