Ferrari and Thrustmaster Revving It Up
Posted by Wade "TNT" Hinkle, 08/23/2007

Thrustmaster proudly announces the Ferrari GT Experience 3 in 1 racing wheel bearing the Official Ferrari® license. The wheel has been developed with the shared values of both brands: Passion, quality, innovation and performance. Its about fulfilling aspiration, delivering the highest quality and incorporating realistic features to satisfy the demands of PC. Playstation 2 and Playstation 3 driving games fans.

Thrustmaster enables players to live the dream. The versatile wheel design allows gamers to express themselves through all genres of racing game, road surface or terrain.

The Ferrari GT Experience Racing Wheel boasts a high quality black-lacquered finish, with comfortable textured rubber grips which have been ergonomically designed for maximum driving comfort. All buttons are easily accessible and conveniently located. The sturdy digital levers on the wheel, similar to sequential gear shift levers, encasulate  the Ferrari®  experience.

New innovations include, adjustable steering sensitivity, enabling gamers to adapt it to their own racing style or to the requirements of various racetracks. In addition, the device is 100% programmable thanks to Thrustmaster’s Mapping feature. This means that all buttons, levers, pedals and directional pads can be reconfigured to meet gamers preferences. The wheel also has automatic centring.

Thrustmaster has included two special features to help boost players’ on-track performance: the bungee cord system and the pedal assembly. The bungee cord, developed by Thrustmaster, offers highly realistic wheel resistance that delivers better performance than that offered by springs used in other wheel designs. The pedal assembly, offers remarkable width and progressiveness. This is particularly useful in simulation games where driving conditions are closer to real life. Its design enables gamers to make good use of heel-and-toe racing techniques. The highly resilient brake pedal reproduces even greater realism so that faster lap times can be achieved as the driver negotiates turns and curves like a pro.

The Ferrari GT Experience racing wheel will be available in October 2007 at the recommended retail price of $49.99.
