EA  announced this week that Kathy Vrabeck , the president of the EA Casual label has stepped down due to personal reasons. Neither EA nor Ms. Vrabeck have released any further information.

Prior to being hand picked in June of 2007 by EA President John Riccitiello, she was the president of publishing for Activision.

Trudy Muller, EA spokesman confirmed the news, and stated that EA will now consolidate the EA Casual and The Sims Labels into one label, though as to how is still under review.

Vrabek’s departure comes shortly after the news of EA cutting 500-600 jobs, to help save $50 million.
