Major retailer Gamestop is offering users the chance to pre-order Sony’s wireless PS3 keypad for $49.99 and claims it will launch on November 24.

The kit, which was originally unveiled at the Leipzig Games Convention in August, and will allow users to more easily compose messages to friends, as well as enter all manner of in-game texts.

The device, which clips onto a Sixaxis or Dualshock 3 controller, boasts a full keyboard and even laptop-style touchpad which should work well with the PS3’s built-in web browser.

Sony has officially confirmed that its Wireless PS3 Keypad will be released in the UK on November 28th and will retail for £24.99, according to Eurogamer.

But in the US, Amazon.com has a different date to Gamestop’s November 24 release, claiming the unit will launch December 15.
