88% in Far Cry 2 Equals Stuck

I am a part of an Australian Gamers group and most of us have had the same problem (PC version). We collectively took our game back to the store (all 27 of us and still dozens more thinking seriously about it) and got a refund (under protest of course...but we took some of the print outs of the complaints with us). So Ubisoft have lost out big time. We also unsuccessfully tried to communicate with Ubisoft about the issue. So no help with a bkoken product. Protest by returning it for a refund. If a few thousand people do that then Ubisoft might listen!

From what I have read there’s a point at around 75% where there are 2 guys. You’re supposed to kill one and the other will give you a mission to go snipe a guy in town. Once you snipe that guy you can then return to the Marina and find Reuben.

However if you killed both of them and don’t have a close enough save prior to that there are apparently a few other things you might try.

- The Mortar Glitch - SAVE BEFORE YOU DO THIS AS YOU MIGHT GET STUCK IN THE BAR - Get a mortar (armoury), go to the bar door stand next to it with your back to the door, right click to put the mortar down and spin round 180 degress. You should slip through the door (a glitch to beat the glitch). If you need 20 diamonds, go back north (top left road on the southern map) and do a couple of cellular missions to get them.

- 6 Jackal Tapes - There is no confirmation of this but someone has stated that you can get in if you have them.

Last Resort for PC players - Get the trainer, go into the marina bar at around 80%. Make a save point with the trainer. Go back and load up your 88% game, teleport to the 80% location and you’re in the bar...Also unconfirmed.

Try those for now and GDN will make some calls and drop some emails.

My email has been escalated from what I’m told and I should be hearing something back in the near future.
