Hercules Does it Again
Posted by Wade "TNT" Hinkle, Sep 13, 2007 17:34

Hercules continues to prove itself a top contender in the webcam market
with the launch of the Deluxe Optical Glass and the Classic Silver webcams. With these 2 new additions,
Hercules delivers again the same impressive price/performance ratio that it has consistently demonstrated
in its webcam line.

Unsurpassed Performance in their Category
These two webcams both feature a built-in microphone and are compatible with Windows VISTA 32 &
64 bits and all videoconferencing software (Windows Live™ Messenger, Skype™, Yahoo!® Messenger,
AOL® instant Messenger, etc.). With a frame rate reaching 30 frames per second and a video resolution
of 800 x 600 pixels*, both webcams guarantee sharp and fluid chat sessions!

Clean, Technology-Minded Designs
Both webcams have a streamlined appearance and an eye-catching sleek, metallic design and
each offers a universal clamp for easy attachment to laptops, flat screens or CRT screens. Both
devices also feature four convenient lighting diodes, which guarantee sharp and bright images
even in low-light conditions.

The Deluxe Optical Glass and the Classic Silver offer 360° horizontal rotation and 60° vertical
rotation angles. With their 1.80 metre cable, these devices can be used anywhere with any desk top or
laptop computer.
In addition, their 1.3 Megapixel resolution* allows users to take high-quality still
pictures.
The Deluxe Optical Glass webcam differs from the Classic Silver webcam due to its additional specifications: genuine glass lens, included headset with microphone and automatic face tracking feature - in addition to 3x zoom! Also, from a design perspective, the Deluxe Optical Glass features a shiny metal finish, on the webcam
head and lens ring, whereas the Classic Silver has a brushed metal finish.
The Hercules Classic Silver will be available in September 2007 at the recommended retail price of
£14.99 VAT Incl., and the Hercules Deluxe Optical Glass will be available in October 2007 at the
recommended retail price of £19.99 VAT Incl.
