Square Enix has announced that two titles are coming to the WiiWare and the Final Fantasy Series for the Wii Virtual Console.

The games for the WiiWare are Final Fantasty IV: The After Years, and  Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My life as a Darklord.  The After Years continues the story from the 1991 Super Famicom Final Fantasy IV. This title was originally released as a downloadable cell phone game in February 2008 in Japan. In the last year it has been downloaded over three million times.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My life as a Darklord is the newest addition the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series and is the sequel to the title, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King, which was released with the WiiWare service in May of 2008.

The Final Fantasy series will be released on the Virtual Console. The first installment of the series will be Final Fantasy, originally released for the Famicom in 1987 in Japan. Final Fantasy will be available in May for the Japan market, and sometime in 2009 for North America
